Defying Gravity: Kevin Goes to New York

OK, so I am off to New York tomorrow to sit-in on the rehearsals and attend opening night of Stephen Schwartz’s new opera, Séance on a Wet Afternoon being produced by New York City Opera. I was privileged to witness the birth of this extraordinary new opera at its premiere at Santa Barbara Opera in 2009, and even more delighted to have conducted excerpts from it in Australia last year with the Tasmania Discovery Orchestra whilst Stephen was ‘down-under’.
